A Wall of Gratitude on World Teachers’ Day

Today is World Teachers’ Day, a chance to celebrate the people who do some of the most important work in our lives.

At Crimson Age, our students marked the day by creating a Gratitude Wall filled with personal notes for their teachers. Some were handwritten on coloured cards, others were typed and printed. Each one came straight from the heart.

One message began simply:
“Jenny, I like that you’re so accepting and kind to me… you’re so calm, gentle and patient.”

Another read:
“Thank you for being so patient with me. You’re a great teacher and make learning fun. I enjoy having you as my teacher.”

A longer reflection written to Eleanor said:
“Thank you so much for helping me through everything this year. Even through circumstances I didn’t deserve, you still supported me. I really do thank you for everything.”

One printed card for Angela captured what many students feel:
“You’ve turned struggle into strength, showing that true teaching isn’t about perfection but about growth… proving that resilience and openness can transform both a classroom and a life.”

Reading the wall, certain words appear again and again: kind, patient, supportive, inspiring. These are the qualities students carry with them long after lessons are finished.

The Gratitude Wall showed how closely students notice the small, everyday ways their teachers make a difference, and how those moments become the memories that last.

On this World Teachers’ Day, we share our students’ words as a thank-you to every teacher. Whether or not your name was written on the wall, your work is seen, it is remembered, and it changes lives.

Happy World Teachers’ Day. 💐
